These work well. I have use them for many years on different lamps etc. You can remove the outer casing to make it even smaller if required. I fitted one inside a 240 Blitz lamp.

I'm pretty sure it was steve_b_wales who put me on to these a few years back now, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132386857076?clk_rvr_id=1497199111072&rmvSB=true  they are a great piece of kit and mine is still going strong.

I took my dimmer apart as mentioned, and mounted the whole thing inside my old Deben Max, variable control outside and the 2 grey plastic screws holding circuit board internally.

I think it was me. I first 'discovered' them on the Ali Express site (China) then found them on Ebay.

Just about to make the order ....if you hear a loud POP!!! you will know I am no lectrician and connected the wrong wires:unhappy:  Thanks for your help.

Simple to wire up. The live/neutral wires (Brown/Blue) from the battery connect to the 'IN' connector, and your lamp wires connect to the 'OUT' connector.
