30-6
When I was a kid, if you went swimming you stank of chlorine for ages after no matter how much you showered, now it doesn't seem so bad or my sense of smell is going. I think some other chemicals are used instead. However, recently a day after a pool session, out on a rabbit session the rabbits were noticeably absent, and I was wondering if the pool session left me "stinky" to them. Trouble is I need to use the pool for excercise and I do enjoy it.
PPP
Have a shower after you swim? Or does the pool count as your bath for the day ?

30-6
Try telling the 3 year old granddaughter that. Not so much of a swim as a splash about, but need it as a form of non impact excercise for the old joints. Like I mentioned this was the day after, so wondering how long any chemical smell would last.
ClemFandango
If they are downwind they can smell you no matter what you have been swimming or splashing or bathing in. Approach with the wind in your face as per basic field craft and you should be fine.
