I'm of an age where even on a warm - or at least one that isn't cold -  evening my hand(s) can lock up with cramp and be painful which makes shooting impossible. I have a pair of Gripswell which are really too warm in summer and too expensive to use for roughy toughy foxing. I'd rather keep my flying gloves purely for more sedate shotgun use. I don't need anything super dooper warm - just something to take the edge off so have been using army woollen issue. However, I've just been reading Keeping The Balance (NGO) Market Place pages. Some gloves by the topic title company look a tad tasty so have just ordered some - these are not waterproof or particularly warm which matters not for me but they do look to be a half decent general purpose bit of kit at a sensible price.

They can be found here - I've gone for the Realtree Grip version - www.chosen-tactical.co.uk

Wymberley you can buy black synthetic thermal work gloves with a coating of soft rubber for grip, i sometimes use them in winter on the marsh as i cant let go of the trigger for the second shot when my fingers get very cold.

Yep, they do look a tad tasty and there's no denying that they're well made. Unfortunately, there's some 'buts'. I keep a cheap pair of leather gardening type gloves in the car for carrying fox, retrieving from blackthorn type hedges, etc, etc. These will join them for similar but lighter work for which they'll do nicely. All I will emphasise is if you are thinking of them and you shoot double trigger, stop thinking. While I was searching for something, I also came across these and bearing in mind what I want something for, I also had a punt for a few £££s. Let's hope these are better.

Now I'm impressed. Just a doubt about longevity, but if they last a few outings that'll do for me. As some numpty decided to scrub around the green flying gloves and go to black instead, I could be tempted to use these in the pigeon hide. Sorely tempted but this is not why I got them, but.......
