Does anyone have any experience of hydrographic coatings on rifles?

not yet but about to do my tikka stock, once i find the cheaper alternative for the activator liquid. 2K thinners it what ill try monday

I know one chap who was given a rather nice over under shotgun for a retirement present. Against advice on his shoot, he thought he'd get a camo hydrographic. First shoot with his nice new gun and he shot a brace, put the gun down to pick up the birds and never saw the gun again. Camo was too good!

Or he was a wally. Or both. 

Anyways. They look good on guns designed to look like tools. I love the feel and the look of wood, so wouldn't get anything with a natural stock done. but they can look good with synthetic stocks. whether they actually improve concealment significantly, I am not sure

This is for a synthetic tikka stock but was thinking of the action maybe too. The Cerakote looks good but the Hydro would be very different. 

It wouldn't be camo. Was thinking more of a tattoo design ?

Yes I had Hydrographics do a Beretta semi auto shotgun. Fantastic job, always commented on by others who saw it. In fact a mate wanted it so much he persuaded me to sell it him and he still has it!
