hatsanmad
Hi guys a little away from the season now. But was wondering if anyone on here crowns the geese they shoot? And if so how do you do this?
TIDES EDGE
We skin off the breast and then cut of the meat as large steaks my daughter is a master at this and wastes no meat.
wildfowler.250
I’ve done it with pigeons but personally just breast/fillet most geese. Pluck the occasional one
hatsanmad
I know it is a pain plucking a full bird so normally just breast them and pluck the odd one but one of the landowners I shoot for has requested me to crown him a few geese this season. So just trying to get some tips
motty
I don't do it much now, but I used to crown a fair few geese and ducks. I used to simply pluck all of the feathers from the breast, then cut all around the breasts with the poultry shears. The hardest part is breaking/cutting through the wing bones.
