basset
My 20 bore montefeltro went back to gmk twice and had parts changed , both times it came back and would still not cycle 100% with the cartridge brands I have mentioned in above posts , I rate Benelli autos highly it’s all I shoot , currently shoot a 12 bore Vinci which slated by many I think is a brilliant gun and have had no cycling issues. I think the main problem is with gmk and warranty issues and there inability to fix things , sure if it went back to Benelli it could be sorted . I would imagine they would appalled that one of their products is causing so much hassle and bad press for them. Spot on That's what i would do and that's what i told this bloke to do Take it back to the gunshop first then if that fails contact Benelli or do both It's a shame as my monty was no bother A mate has an older m2 8 shot and he shoots anything through it and i have never heard him say anything about recycling issues

The Burpster
Benelli and Beretta tend to use RC carts to test their guns a little birdy once told me. Now using that knowledge I have owned 2 Beretta 20g autos a Benelli M2 20g (FAC) and now my M3 12g ( if I get time to do any serious pigeon control again I wouldn’t hesitate to get another Benelli Multishot), all of them run like a sewing machine on RC carts. The M3 wouldn’t work at all with Hull or Gambore (I bought cheap to run it in but got so fed up I nearly got rid of it).but after doing a massive shop of carts from JC (basically buying 50 of every 32gm 5 pals wads they had) guess what? The RC models 3different ones IIRC) were the only ones that cycled 100%, 100% of the time. Basically get a selection of RC 20g shells and find the best one tha5 works in it and I hope you are a happy bunny as you should be. Benellis are ace and there is something special about the RC carts that just makes it a pairing! Fen tiger
This is a guess but i dont think the spring quality control on some Benelli guns is up to par, they could be getting springs from supplier that are causing issues on a few guns this is based on what i have heard and seen. The SBE2 former owners above post is typical of what you come across and in a way these views are True and valid they can be a pain. SBEs have a lot more to compensate for in cartridge range the spring rate has to be spot on , M1s and M2s have a closer range of leads being three inch, and i think they give less trouble. The number of guns i have come across are small but what i have seen is that SBEs 1 and 2s which give trouble are transformed by wolf spring swap, on the Benelli forum this modification is popular, but i do know one SBE 2 going on ten years old now that was a jam every other shot but he contacted GMK got a new spring ven though the original was under three months old, he fitted the spring which was a factory original by the way and that gun runs from 28 gram to 60 gram and never jams. I think there are perhaps easier autos to just pick up and use that give no issues, but i still think a functioning benelli is worth fuss if your unlucky enough to buy a rogue gun.
