Lanber inertia recoil

Hi,

I have a lanber 2097 delux which is just over a year old, i have not used it for some months but when i did the second barrel will not shoot, i have read that the shotgun will only fire the second shot after the trigger has been reset by the inertia system. I presume because i have not used it for some time then this is the cause.

I have tried giving it a good clean but still get this problem, do i need to strip it down or get the shop where i bought it from sort it out for me?

This can be quite a common problem with single selective triggers, normally caused by a piece of something in the action.

I would take it back to whence it came and get them to sort it out.

You can always test to make sure that is the problem, by dry firing the first barrel and if the second barrel doesn't dry fire, then slap the butt hard with your hand (don't bang it on the floor) and see if it fires then.

What size carts were you putting thru it.

I know that when I got my Lanber, the first couple of carts I tried were 24g, and it would not fire the 2nd barrel, but when I then moved to 28g all was OK. If you are using a lighter cart then try something heavier (if you have any), or just take it back as it comes with a 5 year warranty.

If its not been used much then If the advice given above has not cured it then remove action from the stock and spray W D 40 in the actin, dry fire and recock with a screwdriver and refire it and move the mechanism to fire the second barrel a nudge to trip it,( warning do not put cartridges in to carry out the above advice ) Many guns come out of the factory with a grease that seems to harden over time and causes the problem that you are having.

Yes, thanks for those replies

I also thought it might have been the cartridges, i went on a shoot and used a different make although they were 28 gram i think!

I will test by dry fireing and see what happens if not then back to the shop

thanks again

Is it easy to remove the stock and expose the mechanism?
