Sparky88
Hi all. I've got myself a hushpower 20g. Just wondering if you fellas have any cleaning advise I.e. removing silencer etc. I know the silencer gets better with use but must need some attention once in a while. Cheers . sitsinhedges
Don't let the tube get coked up or it will sieze shut. Heat and condensation can cause the barrels to rust so a coat of something to protect the hidden steel parts is useful. I used to give mine a thin coat of grease but it would smoke for a bit when hot initially. Graphogen was a good lubricant to stop the threads seizing but expensive. Copper-eze worked too IIRC. Normal lubes just make things worse so check once in a while before it's too late. Edited October 25, 2018 by sitsinhedges Clarity

Yes but don't forget the female threads are into aluminium so be gentle as you can soon chew them out.

sitsinhedges
I also changed what is a pretty tall sight bead for a lower button head screw at the front as it makes it less prone to shoot low. Always keep an eye on these things as if they come loose and fall out the tube can twist out of alignment.

I've seen barrels quite rotted from the outside from burnt powder residue and moisture from cooling after being shot.
