:mad:What a strange advert, if they where mine i think i would have suggested a few requirements in my posting

At least DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING WHEN I HAVE SOLD YOU THEM

Similar to the guys who advertise Ferrets and demand they go to people who know how to look after them!!

Ah well £200 i might just buy em then suck it and see :good::good:

Not impressed

What an ignorant and negative way to look at this advert, :good:

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING WHEN I HAVE SOLD YOU THEM" I can not find an advert on hear containing this quote ???. like he said he will only get to know that when he meets any potential buyer and he has seen them handle the birds

Good luck with the sale pigeonkiller, and try to ignore the negative comments from sad people with too mutch time on there hands :good:

kipper

ditto...........................................

I would imagine that most people in the market for a pair of these bad-boys would know what they are about. I think you may have completely mis-interpreted a very simple advert.

"only people with 150 years of dealing with Raptors and Owls need apply"....................

lets not be too judgmental shall we...the guy just wants to off-load a pair of owls.....

BEST OF LUCK SELLING THEM BUDDY> :good:

Im after a pair of the latter.........but finding them really hard to come by.................. :good::good:

Far beyond my capabilities.......hope you find em a good home mate.............

from what i've heard of these birds you would want to no alot about raptors before entering the flight otherwise you could be tea he/he so i dont think you would need to state the obvious hope you sell them i will ask about for you too i know a few hawkers .vince

Fascinating.

Much more interesting than the usual s200 for sale advert.

Quick google:

Eagle Owl.

Origin: Europe.

Habitat: Forests, deserts, rocky areas.

esting: A hollow on a rock ledge or cave, or an old eagle nest.

Facts: This eagle owl is the largest and most powerful owl in Europe, about 69 cms (27 inches) in length. It has a large beak and enormous talons but its most noticeable features are the striking orange eyes. It has prominent ear tufts which are raised or lowered depending on its mood. The plumage is mostly mottled but with bolder streaks on the breast. It takes a range of prey from insects to larger animals such as hares, and even game birds.

Good luck with the sale.

Pigeon killer why don't you tell us all a bit more, and fill out your profile.

When I used to do voluntary work for the Hawk Trust many many years ago at Game Fairs I came face to face with one of these.

Was staggering back to the HT Marquee drunk as a skunk. Stumbled past the table selling books and there it was sitting on its perch the size of a small car and looking as though it could rip me apart. On it's perch it was prettu much eye to eye with me. Needless to say the others all had a good laugh at my slight look of surprise!

Beautiful.

Dont know how to fill me profile in. as for the owls well, they have never been flown as far as im aware. they bred last season the last young male was sold to the master of the quorn hunt. i have not let them breed this season. they can be aggresive but soon learn to recognise you and settle down. They have been fed on rabbit and squirrel since ive had them. They dont make much noise. ho and ive got a fox trying to get into the pen at the minute after the rabbit bits in there. dont know whot else to say.
