You could try Cluson lamps. I have a hand held one and bought a scope bracket to attach it to. The one I have is 1 million cp ( Lazerlite) The only downside is that you cannot adjust the beam, but it goes a hell of a long way in total darkness. Also, filters, which I don't use, are cheap and easy to take on or off. They also do a ' shootalite ' lamp, slighty smaller than the Lazerlite.

If you want small, then go for the Lightforce Lance 140. If I were you I would go for the larger Lightforce Striker 170. Whichever you choose get one with an inline dimmer switch. Or buy one seperately and wire it yourself like I did. Great lamps once you get the wiring sorted and it's not a hard job.

How much you wanna spend?

The Tracer Atom Tactical has all you want, fits 25 and 30mm scope tubes, compact, reliable, lightweight, accurate narrow beam from a "tunnelled" lamp that don't light up an arc of half the field ahead of you and all self contained with the battery pack in a pouch on the rifle butt..... Except it has a seriously **** battery pack that limits it's range and lit time, confining it to the range of a sub 12ftlb air rifle.

Deben of course arn't likely to approve of this - but it works well for me after trying a few experiments to evolve the final 200 yard masterpiece. You need a decent soldering iron and must know how to use it. See the R&D thread here, sorry but the photo's have been lost:

uprate a Tactical Atom

Finally settled on 11 of these as the one's to use:

Tagged 2500 mah AF size NiMH cells

Thats right - 11 of them (13.2v) to give you a "header tank" of spare power that powers the lamp for up to 6 hours of variable brightness use.

Enjoy.
