Gordon R
Finished off the Beta - just noticed a broken bolt securing the radiator to the frame. Snapped off in the frame. A pain I could have done without. Just got to finish breaking the Honda CRF now.

Gordon R
I need to slow down. Instead of doing a few hours and taking a couple of months, I have been doing 8-9 hour non-stop spells in the garage. I thought retirement was about slowing down. I have an almost compulsive urge to finish things off, which I need to sort out. Still need to remove the side stand and paint it, plus sort out the broken bolt. Gordon R
Dismantled the Honda yesterday - will strip the engine today. Hardest part was separating electrical connectors.

I used to spend hours on end after each race , stripping, rebuilding, racing then starting over again.
Gordon R
When my lads were racing, fellow riders moaned about changing suspension bearings. I became a dab hand and find it quite satisfying. The electrical connectors were fiddly and I managed to stab myself in two fingers with a sharp pick. Dismantling is way easier than re-building, though.

No linkage was wonderful. all I used was an old socket and a vice
Gordon R
KTM have gone back to linkage - they never seemed to master the absence of one. They abandoned the linkage around 1997/8 for the next 15 years or so. I agree about the cost - 8 bearings in 2 very small parts.
