BenBhoy
Taken another cut of silage today. Fields I cut two days ago are crawling with blacks; its it's something I notice every year, what are they feeding on?? It's right next door to one of my lambing fields.... TIGHTCHOKE
Bugs and creepy crawlies!
Longstrider
Cutting the silage will have exposed the lower sections of the grass where most of the bugs live so the birds can get to them far easier now. On my permission it's usually one of the best times to get on top of numbers as they decoy in a treat on fresh cut grass.
BenBhoy
Cheers chaps. Just turned it, already few showing interest. Will wrap it on Sunday & hopefully have a cheeky couple hours on decoys next week.

BenBhoy
We have final group of (late!!) ewes lambing in next field, crows regularly stalking them.
