pin
Not particularly nasty this one, mind what it can deposit is. A decent up to date AV should detect and remove, if not let me know and I can help with manual steps!

new to the flock
AVG did not even recognize that it was there, and adware kept getting shut down by it before it could be eliminated. I found some updates that I did not have for Spy Bot and now all seems fine. Thanks for the help folks. NTTF

Cranfield
NTTF, do you have a Firewall ? If not, this is the best free one around IMO. http://www.tucows.com/preview/213160 SpyBot, or Ad-Aware should shift that Trogan, are you sure it is Win32 Trogan Clicker ? new to the flock
It comes up as win32 trojan clicker each time. on ad-ware it causes an error report and will not allow the program to remove or quaranteen it. ON spy bot it freezes the program after it runs the memory sweep at start up once again keeping it from removing it. AVG has yet to recognize it. Cranfield
I also have Spyware Doctor, which is only free for a trial period. It might be worth you downloading that and having a free scan, then dump it. I can't believe the trouble you are having moving this trojan. davo
NTTF go to www.malwareremoval.com register on the forum and post a thread giving an explanation of you're problem, someone from the admin team will respond and give you step by step instructions on how to remove the virus, its free and very successful, they helped me out with the same thing. Hope this helps. Mark.

Ad-ware will list thar I have Win.32 Trojan Clicker SpyBot will list Spy Crush AVG doe not recognize either ....................................... Could Spy Crush which is a rouge spy ware program be causing this trojan to appear to be there? And should I be looking at spy crush as the cause of all this. I also need a Spy Crush removal

davo
The problem I had was a 'Vundo' Trojan which kept popping up with WinFix and other false security alerts, all of the associated problems you have got are probably related to each other, the guys and gals on the malware site will guide you through and get you to download different programmes which scan you're system and produce a 'log file' which they study and work through to remove any problems, i.e. viruses and adware etc.... davo
Forgot to say it can take a day or two for the admin people to respond to you're post, they are rather busy with requests for help, If you read through some of the previous posts on the malware site you will no doubt see that others have shared in you're mis fortune. Hardy
If your still having problems you can try the following process. It needs a bit more care than just running your AV or spyware app: Download Hijackthis You can then review the log file & delete the offending items directly. CAUTION do not remove anything you're not 100% sure is a nasty - you could end up with a poorly PC if you remove files that are critical. There are 2 ways to analyse the log: Post the results to one of the many forums which will check it for you Google everyone of the items on it to see if its safe to remove. If all else fails pm me with the log file & I'll have a look at it for you. I'd run the latest version of adaware from http://www.lavasoft.com first & also AVG as suggested earlier. Set them to do a full system scan & leave them to run. When you install AVG if it creates any errors you will probably need to use hijackthis to manually remove the infection. This is because once a virus gets into your pc many of them set up a defence against anti virus software being installed. Best of Luck! pin
It's simple to remove manually, one run key in the registry, disable system restore first and nuke that, then it won't start and can be deleted as it hasn't cloaked and protected itself. Latest AVG definitions will detect and remove it if it's not running.
davo
Don't want to tread on any toes, I have recently been through the same drama and done everything suggested so far, AVG, Ad-Aware, Spywareblaster, Spybot, McAfee, On line Kaspersky, Hijackthis, Combofix which are two of the programmes you will be asked to download at the Malware site which do help. After trying loads of repairs, scans, turning system restore on/off, doing numerous system restores the problem kept cropping up as soon as you re-connected to the internet, After rapidly running out of hair to pull out I searched for help at the McAfee forum and was directed to the Malware site, there are lots of similar sites out there were people will help but I found the one mentioned done the business for me so I would recommend it, If like me you are not to sure about what you can and cant delete in you're registry files, they take control and guide you step by step. Go to the site I suggested and I'm sure they will get you sorted.
pin
Having someone analyse a hijack this log is a top idea, if you have one thing you will probably have others.
