Miroku_Dave
I decided to have a bit of fun this afternoon and work on my long awaited friction folder. I’ve had a rough week, Mrs has been in hospital again having more surgery post breast cancer and my head hasn’t really been in the work space or the knife making space! I needed to clear my head today so managed an hour or so of shed time but not enough concentration to work on anything I want to turn out well! There’s no pressure for this one to work but I’m hoping it is functional, I’m using Juma for the scales with G10 liners and Corby bolts secured with some thread lock glue, there’s also a carbon fibre pin to hold the blade in place when open. It’s 2mm 8670 which I thought was easy to heat treat but it warped on me, the first time that’s happened! I think this one may just be a learning project but you never know! WelshAndy
I may have to ask you nicely for some other scales... the original black plastic ones are pretty bland...

Miroku_Dave
Friction folder finished! and what a pain in the back side it’s been 🤣 it’s a sort of copy of a Svord Peasant but I’m gonna get to work on my own version pretty soon 👍 2.5mm 8670 with Juma scales and Corby bolts, I think a nice antler one will be next 👍
