Let us be looking at this in a bit more light before we go Posting sweeping A> BS & b >Apparently statements. I made quite clear anything i posted to ISLANDGUN, Was My opinion my view, & that YOMV on multiple occasions. My reason for favouring a Longer barrel in a SxS or in the confines of a typical pigeon hide, Are that the longer length of the barrels will be typically above the netting, with a 26/ 28 inch barrel SXS tangling in the hide net is more of a Problem. IN MY OPINION. Any break action gun is never easy, to load in a hide when upright once cartridges are in the breach they want to fall out, and it is a losing the gun upright. Semi autos etc feed straight into the magazine the gun is both longer due to the action length .And its in-line no need to lift to load. Again depends on How big you like your hides, so again YOMV.
