Saltings Posted March 11, 2020 Report Share Posted March 11, 2020 (edited) toolstation / screwfix 12v 7ah alarm battery nay need two to last all day chargers are not a lot on evilbay or use and old style car battery charger with a 21w bulb in the loop show its working without cooking the battery solder a wire to the positive on the bulb with a female spade connector/ crocodile clip for the battery batter charger crocodile clip goes on the main bulb body should just about glow when charging or use an old household alarm box to charge the battery I have a brand new alarm battery box if you need it you can have if it helps you out no charge pm your add Edited March 11, 2020 by Saltings Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

lakeside1000 Posted March 11, 2020 Report Share Posted March 11, 2020 I use old golf cart batteries bought at car boot sales, sealed gel packs, great for 5 hours or more on the magnet, as for charging, I bought a very cheap charger from China, 12v-2 amp, fully charges overnight ready for the next day, charger cost around £5 free post, and batteries usually go for around a fiver.
