lazza
Sounds like you had a good time. That hare call sends shivers up my spine every time I hear it, too human Well done on the foxes CONOR ( thought if I shouted he may hear). Is it your turn to shoot next time? tulkyuk
Cheers lads, I'm not bothered about whether I shoot or not when out, as long as we have something going home at the end of the night well said John - its all in the chase i find, i quite often leave the gun at home and lamp for a mate, i'll even let someone shoot my 243 while i lamp for em- but i did this on wednesday night and one of my mates missed a fox i have been after for a while ( it'll be bloody lamp shy now), but at least it'll give me the chance to have a sit out in the good country air at dusk/dawn to get it. I dont mind doing the lamping for a lad as long as he is capable,i was out last night with a fella from the gun club he is a sound chap but never again i brought him to a spot with a couple of foxes i have been after for ages like tulkyuk i spotted a fox in the distance and walked a bit closer to it and asked the chap to see if he wanted to get a bit closer as the fox was still out a good 160yrds he has a .22 hornet im sure this fox was at its limits anyway he puts the gun up to his shoulder looks through scope next thing BANG he fired at the fox and it ran off as if he was firing a shotgun was seriously p***ed off at that takes a lot to annoy me but that certainly did.
