flippermaj
The part in question fell of my rusty Nissan Almera Tino todayđ¤ it it is a piece of metal that sits on the inner side of the rear disc brake and seems to be some sort of cover over the inside of the disc?  The brakes seem to work fine with it gone but what does this â disc coverâ do and do I need to replace it? cheers mark
Medic1281
Itâs a dust cover, stops the brake dust going everywhere, and **** getting onto the disc.
B725
Not expensive but does as described above I would definitely replace it.
McSpredder
Rear brake dust shields fell off both sides of our 2013 Panda 4x4.  Fiat dealer said not worth the hassle and expense of replacing them (rather an awkward job on that model).  Sailed through subsequent MOTs without problem. Pistol p
These donât exist on newer vehicles. I always removed them on vehicles in the past if they were rusty, I wouldnât worry about it.
