Often get that name mixed up because it seems to be song thrushes i hear and see doing it most of the time as well. Two pair of mistle back and nested in village. First time for a few years. Something clicked earlier about this Bob, my misses said at the weekend that there was seed being thrown everywhere, but its actually just seed casings, the Goldfinch's just sit there cracking open those tiny little seeds and spitting out the shell. discobob Posted July 22, 2020 Report Share Posted July 22, 2020 @Mice! - maybe it is the feeder we was using was causing lots of seed to drop - we have since changed to sunflower hearts which they still seem to like and this has stopped the weed problem!!
