team tractor
Well as I’ve nothing better to do I thought I’d try the shoot for some chub this time. We ended up with 2 chub , 2 perch , 1 roach. Nothing bigger than 6oz tho this time. I think I’m lucky to have a permission in the most beautiful of places and only 6 members. Its our duck shoot

Caught some monster chub on the Mease back in the late 50s using a big fluffy fly on a fly rod. Used to be Birmingham Anglers water near Edingale. Fished Team Tractors stretch back in 1950 and caught one of the biggest pike I have ever seen. A grown up friend did help me land it. It was just about where the M42 now crosses the river and on a live bait (roach). My grandfather had it cleaned and cooked in no time. Tasty but mind the bones. Pity this stupid HS2 waste of money is going to destroy that area.
