Ten year + break from Carp fishing

Sounds like a cracking session mate, I’ve not had the rods out in well over a year, didn’t renew tickets when lockdown came in. But I’ll hopefully get on the bank later in the year

I hope you do manage to get out later this year. Per the title I'd taken an extended break from fishing but ironically it was lockdown that re-invigorated my interest. During the break I'd kept my syndicate ticket because I knew for the money I'd never find a comparable water if I had let that one go and tried to get into others.

Since the original post back in July I've also joined another local syndicate which is a much more intimate water, I was very fortunate to get in and through contacts managed to skip a "wait list" of 278 other names, which just illustrates the point above. This new ticket is 240% more expensive than my original syndicate but such is the demand my money was in the owners bank account within 15 minutes of the invitation to join. Yet to fish it but will soon.

I've had 14 carp this month which is about as good as a month I've had in the past year, also had a 30 on each of my last three sessions including a new PB of 38lb 13oz.

Is anyone else getting out?

Nice, well done. It's been a long time since I fished for carp, probably the late 80's.
