Mungler
I always crimp off every morning just after breakfast and a cup of tea but I would say it was a much bigger calibre than .223.

I reload 223 and I dont find it necessary to crimp the case kneck. What weight of bullet are you using? Have you found your best loading yet or are you still experimenting. cartridge
when you reload yourself do you have to have a explosives certificate for the powder or can fac/sgc holders buy it
mry716
Take care crimping - if you don't you can easily 'bell' the neck under the crimped area and actually leave a bullet that is looser than before you started. This is esp relevant with the Lee Crimp Die. I am NOT saying do not do it but if you do ensure you do it properly. However generally it is not needed if you sized the cases correctly. Re powder You don't NEED a licence to hold up to 5kg per household but I would recommend you ask the Police for a 'Fit Persons Certificate' which is free of charge. It is a COER 3 and is a Certificate to Acquire/Acquire and keep Explosives and was previously required for Black Powder but will now provide extra assurance in your hobby of reloading Nitro Powders. Mine covers UN 0044 Primers, cap type UN0055 Cases, Cartridge, empty, w/primer UN0160 Powder, Smokeless UN0161 Powder, Smokeless and is issued for 3 years.
