Mungler
Okay I used to use the AOL active virus shield which worked until they stopped the service on 31.08.07. What's out there and what's everyone using for free (and which won't conflict)? Cheers, Mung

Evil Elvis
B) Its best not to use 2 at a time on one machine, they nearly always clash. I use www.command.co.uk they charge about £30 a year and update DAILY never really had a problem with viruses since ive used them (6-7 years). ME
on my computer i have avast anti virus spybot search and destroy and ad aware these are all free I use Avast and the cool thing is that every now and then it says "VIRUS DATABASE UPDATED" in a voice like Kitt the car from Knight Rider. I would use Avast just for that !!! B)

If you are refering to Peter using Spybot and Adaware then two installed at the same time is not a problem, they are not virus scanners but detect and clean Spyware, different type of programme. J@mes
AVG free edition, combined with using FIREFOX as your default browser will provide suitable protection. Have been using firefox for years now, cant remember the last time AVG or Adaware picked anything up on my system!

Fair enough, i thought you were referencing a post about having two instances of Virus software and as no one had actually said they had done such a thing i assumed it was peters post you were referring too. I wasn't questioning your masculinity.
