paulthekiller
Been looking on the internet to buy 15 Flock coated decoys full body & 20 shell decoys flocked as well where is the best place for ordering them and do we have any codes for discount as well 👍🏻
TIGHTCHOKE
First question, why do you want any full body decoys? They are bulky to carry and add nothing to a pattern. They can though be useful on lofting poles to display in trees. You should be able to find some perfectly adequate shell decoys on EBay. Nighthawk are a reasonable make and £30 for a dozen including postage would be achievable. Edited February 13, 2021 by TIGHTCHOKE

If using a standard set of poles they will only be lofted to about 25 feet. Personally I prefer to use just two decoys mounted on a wire cradle but using a few extra poles to reach a height of at least 40 feet (50 feet if possible). I think that two mounted as high as possible are more noticeable and effective than five or more lower down. I leave the pole in situ resting against a branch which makes it quicker and easier than faffing about with the standard hooks etc and far easier to take down. Each pole section is added from below and progressively fed up through the branches. OB
lakeside1000
I only take 3 full bodied flock coated decoys for lofting, they provide just enough draw to bring in any curious birds , with around 20 either dead birds or shells out on the ground it normally does the job very well. Full bodied are bulky to carry, and for lofting, the hook mounts and lofting poles are added weight , ok if you can drive to the tree, but not so if you have a long walk.
