I don't know, does it matter?  They work very well.

Does it matter?

Of course it matters, with the data/ recipe we can replicate them far cheaper.

They work very well.

that's why we want to replicate them.

Thanks for the info.  The data available from the vectan site shows AS as the likely candidate but not as high a velocity as is stated by Lyvale.  SO either the velocity figures are hyped up a bit or Lyvale are up loading the charge weight + considering the extra gram of shot. 28 .... 29gram load or some sort of hybrid powder.

their was a thread a long while ago, and somone did a test over a chrono and none of the carts from any brand came close to claimed velocities if i recall.

best id recomend is reverse engineer a sample and see what the powder charge comes in at.  or email lyvale. its probably not s secret recipy or anything

After a few conversations with other I was advised that at the foot of the Lyvale page it is written that they are partnered with vectan.  A search through the vectan site shows that AS is the compatible powder BUT their stated velocities using  AS are not up to the velocity of the power pigeon. SO either they are using a different powder that isn't generally available or they've hyped up the stated velocity of these cartridges. As previously thought.
