Buying a shotgun

Hi gents, currently applying for my shotgun licence and looking for my first 12G.

Just wondering if anyone was willing to flog an old one, my price range is a max of about £250, not looking for anything fancy but has to be in good nick.

O/U would be preferred, but S/S will not go a miss!

Try and send us a pic too, if possible.

Cheers, Joe.

Hi charlie thanks for the offer, sorry for taking so long to reply. However i've had a think and for my budget, a may be able to buy a new Baikal or Escort.

Cheers anyway, Joe

A secondhand £250 O/U will pretty much always be worth £250 (so long as you don't significantly damage it any further than what it was when you bought it!). Whereas a new Escort or Baikal (both good value guns) will depreciate significantly as soon as you walk out of the shop with it. Which is a waste of money when you consider that no matter what first gun you buy the vast majority of folk upgrade it within 6-12 months.
