  2. Look on the Army surplus sites for Ituri wet weather boots. you can get them in that haven't been issued for under £100
  3. Cheers! Also an update on the hares and kestrel dumped in Broughton
  4. Same as me - My wife had 2 Hondas and they have been great. I have a L200 and have had the gearbox rebuilt and the red paint has gone pink, I wish Honda had sprayed them 🤣
  5. My son is applying for his FAC and already holds a SGC , he's had it about 3 years and the previous medical proforma was fine, now SWP police want his records from before 2010 and there is now an issue, all his previous records are still with the Army,,,,,,,,,,,and there is a massive backlog in getting them released, so his FAC is now on hold.
  6. I went there last October when we took the caravan and spaniels for a New forest tour. Good shop, bought some .22 rounds that I couldn't get locally. Dog friendly as well 🙂
  7. We don't need this feeding the anti shooting lobby. NRW are trying their best to stop game shooting and then you get these headlines 😭 https://nation.cymru/news/iolo-williams-shares-anger-as-gamekeeper-is-charged-with-attempting-to-trap-goshawks/
  8. They also have higher rates of tax both income and their version of coucil tax and NI https://www.oecd-ilibrary.org/sites/cb1b0925-en/index.html?itemId=/content/component/cb1b0925-en
  9. we've had good results from the 'Ernesto' range from Lidl and we are quite hard on non stick frying pans. I've also read that if you need to sear stuff then don't use a non stick as it eventually kills to coating.
  10. My OH has got her lump sum from her NHS Pension and wanted to upgrade her pc as she does alot of games so as the IT expert as I wa tasked to procure.... Scan computers had the majority of the order and Amazon had the the disk and CPU cooler. Disk (M2 Samsung 970 Pro) arrived by 07-30 in the morning Both of us have Covid so so immediate PC builds were off the cards, until today when I felt a bit better so I started opening the packages. I use a knife to slice the seal open and lo and behold the package was empty!! ***!! Contacted Amazon and within 20 mins I had a refund. I cannot fault Amazon but it is scary when a supposedly factory sealed packaged has been robbed - I could have lost £150 :-(
  11. I'm interested to see how the new young Welsh team play - could be 'character building' - i hope not!
  12. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/columnists/2024/01/28/deer-plentiful-tasty-cheap-bambi-culling/
  13. When we were deciding to either spay or breed from our 2, we looked on Pets4Homes to see how many Springers were on there and how long the's been there and there were literaly hundreds being advertised. When we were looking for a pup pre lockdown there very few - typical. Also I was also worried about where the pups would go - if you had them still at 12 weeks, you might be becoming not so choosy 😞 Both our bitches, who come from good lines, we got spayed in the end.
  14. yes south wales police require the certificate to be filled out by the seller
  15. it needs to fit the ruger built on mount which is has half moon cut outs and slots. I think yours just fits onto standard dovetails? should look like this underneath the mount
  16. The original Ruger scope rings are too short for my scope so if I have to go new rings I might as well get a pic rail that will give me more versatility.
  17. There is also the Worksharp systems https://www.worksharptools.com/
  18. Keen's used to charge £25 but that was about 2 years ago.
  19. Very similar to the flawed software that caused Chinooks to crash, it was easier to blame the pilots than blame software that had millions invested in it. https://www.computerweekly.com/feature/Chinook-helicopter-disaster-computer-software-failure-or-pilot-error
  20. I was told by my FLO that I can old up to 8 as that was what my cabinets could hold.
  21. Why advertise services that in reality are cr*p? Who benefits? Media companies, whether papers or online social media greatly benefit and their intention is to try and influence / persuade the general populace that this how things are and how you behave and then take a load of advertising revenue. Political broadcasts are exactly the same. Since being classed as a senior we use the trains and buses quite alot as it's cheaper railfares and free buses, which for us are quite reliable and the benefit is that I can have a beer as well!! I used the trains for commuting for about 15 years and mostly getting there was reliable but coming home that was a lottery. Thankfully I now WFH 🙂
  22. I bought one in the summer, Trickicks 5Kw on Amazon - works no problem. Use exhaust paste to get a good seal. The rubber mounting gaskets can smell a bit at first, apparently you can get silicone ones that are better.
