TheSniper
i have just been out with the dog for a walk in the cemertary. The place is full of pests. i'd say i saw 60 woodies, 50 squirrels alot of magpies and the few crows. now this leads to the question - do cemertaries give out shooting permission to air rifle pest controllers? humperdingle
Wouldn't fancy that much in the pitch blackness... Worth a phone call though!

tuck1
They do. Particularly if you can deal with moles too. Worth the ask.
Cranfield
Remember the "pest" has to be seen as a pest to the Land Owner. The Council may not consider pigeons, magpies etc., in the cemetery as "pests". I can understand them being keen to get rid of moles , rats and rabbits. davo
I once got permission to control Rabbit's in a church garden off to the side of the cemetery in the middle of town, ended up I gave it a miss too much hassle, spoke to the local police, showed them the written permission and my insurance details etc, explained I would contact them every time I was going to the place just in case there was a flood of calls ref; gun bag totting terrorist lurking around the cemetery type calls, they reckoned that the calls WOULD be made and plenty of them, then their was the problem of half the parishioners agreed with the controlling and half not, instead that half wanted me to catch and re-release said rabbits onto somebody Else's ground!! Don't need added problems like that, I just want to go shooting.
invector
I was once asked to dig some fox cubs out of a grave!!!
Cranfield
Just about every cemetery I know of has a fox earth in it somewhere.
Quist
Don't forget to look at the General Licenses for each Pest Species you propose to kill. You can't just go and kill any bird on Schedule 2 Part ii without exploring the alternatives and being able to prove you've done so. Shooting close to a Pblic Highway may impose a few challenges too
