AYA No.53 12G Sidelock - £1,500ono - West Sussex

Recommended Posts

-28" Barrels

-14.5" LOP (to articulated front trigger)

-1/4 and 1/2 fixed chokes.

-2 3/4 Chamber

-Right hand Cast

-Hand detachable clips with gold-washed locks

-Side clipped barrels and hidden 3rd bite.

As I only shoot clays (and fair infrequently at that) this fine gun is somewhat wasted on me. It dates from the mid 1980's.

The bores are very clean, I had the barrel thickness measured a few months ago and it was well within spec. Still retains its colour case hardening and is a very pretty gun indeed.

In overall very nice condition with the exception of some light staining in the breech where the snap-caps have been sitting and a very small nick on the rib where it caught on the cabinet lock.

Priced with the above marks taken into account (incidentally the next two cheapest AYA No.53's are £2,250 and £3,250)

Please let me know if you'd like to take a look or have any further questions and many thanks for reading my listing, I'd love this gun to go to a home where it's used.

That is a very beautiful gun.  I have several AyA guns and they all shoot well.  I hope it finds a loving home. I've been TOLD that I have too many guns.!

Thanks Minky!

It sure gets talked about on the shoots, everyone loves a sidelock!

Are you sure you can't sneak one more into the cabinet? 😉

I'm  sure that I  could find a home for it BUT if I  did I  don't think that the other guns in the store would like it because they want to be taken out once in a while.
