Camper door lock, locking mechanism identification

Evening all
can anyone enlighten me and point me in the direction of what I need to make use of the internal locking mechanism on this caravan/camper door lock so as to be able to lock from inside, the small "D"  shaped spindle rotates approx 90 degrees from opened to locked which operates a small dead bolt, but not much clearance between it and the pull handle to open the door, might have to make something if not readily available.

thanks in advance

Small gas hob knob should see that right?

that's what I though initially but not enough shaft protruding or clearance, looking online it looks to be an "L" shaped plastic push on lever need to strip it tomorrow to identify manufacturer, saw some makers marks last time I had one in bits

thanks for the input but not looking to spend £48 when it only needs something to suit a 6mm "D" shaft, fashioned one earlier as could only find the thumb levers/ deadbolt latch available in the US at around $15 and same for shipping.....
