It should do the same thing, the surger just does it as it's being poured. The Ultrasound should work on a poured pint. Best is to go get a fresh poured in the pub!

thanks for reply, but pub is out of the question, 3 to 4 miles downhill to nearest pub, dont mind the walk down, but getting back up when im the wrong side of 60, think i would struggle, plus is pitch dark road with no lights.

😂 You need to move house to the opposite side of Town. I had similar experiences as a student... my now wife and I had to get a taxi the 300 yards to the house up a steep hill!

Does anybody know if an ultrasound cleaner will do the same as above agitator?

Yes, look on YouTube. There’s many examples of cheap ultrasound cleaners doing the same job as the much more expensive, Guinness-branded version.
The issue seems to be that the non-branded versions are too good, so don’t overfill the glass.

I don’t know the mechanics behind the Guinness agitator, but this trick works with my home brew if I’ve not primed the bottles adequately and they’re a bit flat.  If you get a small syringe, put the end in the beer (poured into glass) and work the plunger 3 or 4 times, the beer then settles like a hand drawn pub pint - might be worth a go before investing in something more expensive.  I mainly use the little syringes that come with kids calpol but a normal medical syringe works too - just make sure it’s a relatively small one though otherwise you will end up with a pint of froth.
