CaptC
No idea which country this comes from but it’s a substantial bit of kit. Spade, axe, shaft with hidden saw blade plus a spare spade head and canvas holder. The Countryman’s ideal tool? The chrome shaft is odd in that it’s not painted green like the rest of the tool. Obviously some loss of paint and a few rust spots but an hour’s cleaning and it will make an excellent all round tool. £20 posted thanks. !!!SOLD!!! CaptC
It’s my No 1 choice. The age of the webbing could make it WW2 but a chrome shaft? A bit dangerous in the sun?

Centrepin
My guess would be WWII or Korean era at the latest with a later replacement shaft and certainly American. I think for Vietnam most GIs had Alice webbing.
CaptC
I think the shaft is original but it's now wrapped ready to post tomorrow. WW 2 is a safe bet!
