Just a heads up if you're thinking of buying a used one: Make sure the package comes complete with the items that are required (and which are supplied with a new gun) which allow you to use the rifle without the CCS fitted.

PS If you have already got one (22) and you will not need these bits, please see my post in 'Wanted' :whistling:

Are you on the AGF? If not would you like me to put a wanted post up?

Magic, many thanks, greatly appreciated

As it happens this is in place in as much as I've already been put in touch with an AGF member who may well be able to help. Would you mind if I pause here, but will explain when I 've heard back as of now I know no more?

No problem Sir.

Once again, many thanks. With the help of members of PW and AGF the item in question along with all the other associated ones have been identified and with a little bit of luck I'll get my sticky little fingers on one.

Result - I think. I was told by BSA themselves and their spares retailer that the two items in question were never given a part number or classed as available spares. I put myself about a bit and let my opinion be known.

Now, you can't do a 'notify me when there's stock' thingy when anything is not listed to start with. Now apparently according to my email inbox I have successfully applied for just that for the one item I've been after. I know I'm getting on but I have absolutely no memory of doing this which I wouldn't have done anyway as it's not available. So, I went to the parts listing and from out of nowhere there they are large as life with part numbers and a price - but with a 'notify me' condition.

As I was finishing talking to BSA and had mentioned I'd be talking again with their spares outlet I was asked if I do could I ask for **** and ask him to call ***** at BSA. I can only assume that he did and that they had a conversation perhaps.

Good news, there's probably hundreds of them 😆

Well, there's one less now. :thanks:  very much whoever you are and just in case you see this. A 16.5" barrel and moderator, both by BSA, which have gone/are going to Heathfield, Devon were ordered on my behalf so your action has paid off 100 fold.

I'm out.
