Evening All,

Before Covid arrived, South Lincolnshire Wildfowlers Club decided to organise an inter-club charity shoot initially aim at clubs located local to The Wash.

At the 1st event, we had visiting teams who had asked if they could attend from as far afield as the South coast.

We have now decided to organise the event again this year and have decided to once again open the even up to wildfowling clubs from anywhere within the UK but will also be happy for individuals to shoot at the event as its all for charity.

I've attached a flyer & I'm hoping you can see it once I post this.

All we ask is that if you plan on coming along, just give me a ring, text me or email just so we are aware of potential numbers for food, parking etc

Any questions just drop me a line on s.cook@zonesystems.co.uk or ring on 07795 434258

Thanks in advance.

All,

Following discussions at our clayground last week,  we have unfortunately decided we need to move the venue to

East of England Shooting Ground.

Our ground is bordered by the old sea wall which is a public footpath. Under normal circumstances (previous years),

this has never really been an issue as we've seen very few of the general public using the path.

This year unfortunately, the path has been shown as part of a cross country/mountain bike route in a national countryside magazine.

At our shoot last  Sunday, we had 3 groups of mountain bikers, 3 horses, 2 motor cross bikes & a couple of families out for a stroll!

Clearly this would be a dangerous & frustrating situation if we were to try & run the shoot with multiple delays waiting for individuals to

clear the path.

It is very disappointing/frustrating as we are aware that a number of clubs have sent our newsletters to their membership.

All we can ask is that everyone tries to 'spread the word'.

We will be sending an email out to clubs over this weekend.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Inter-Club Charity Shoot

Although the weather was not ideal, with entries in the afternoon shooting in what felt like a gale, in general most shooters ended the day smiling, especially if you managed to hit the ‘easy’ rabbit.

At the end of the day, the scores were as follows:

 1st - South Lincolnshire Wildfowlers - 167

2nd - Kings Lynn & District Wildfowlers - 155

3rd - Spalding & District Wildfowlers - 150

Top Visiting Team was Crowland Gun Club - 173

High Gun on the Day was Tony Woodrow with a straight 50/50.

Top junior shot was Terry Wilkinson with an excellent 40.

We would like to thank all those who attended (65 entries),

the sponsors for the day, and all those who helped out.

As last time, the generosity of people with the raffle prizes we were given

was much appreciated.

We would also like to thank East of England Shooting Ground

for helping out at short notice.

We will look forward to seeing you all next year.
