30-6
Does any one use these torches with 3 in 1 LED's ? If so, what is the main difference between the ns68 and ns48. I'm looking at the red/940/850 option. To be used with an Alpex and a Photon on a .223 / sub 12 air / FAC air.
30-6
I'm giving this a bump hoping for a response. Someone must have an opinion on them.
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, I have one with a red led , mine has the 48 mm head, a good quality torch, the 68 would be to heavy in my opinion, what distance will you be going for, ??
30-6
Is it just red you have or a 3 led head ? Would be used with an Alpex on various distances from 15 yards to 100 yds on air and CF rifles. It seems ideal to have red and 850 and 940 on a 3 led head, but no one ever seems to talk about this configuration. Just wondering if their a gimmick or a wonderful option. oldypigeonpopper
Hello, mine is just the red led 48 mm head and I use in summer if I'm out late evening, the photons are best with a LED pil, not sure on the Alpex but my friend finds the torch provided very good, 850 for general use, 940 for shorter distance and covert beam,I'm using a night fox 850 torch but will get the 940 for this winters ratting, I would not go a 3 led head , I would go a for some thing like a night sabre 48mm head, with pil you would use most and spare I/R or Red pil, out to 100 yards the 850 nm would be best, what will you use a red led torch for ? A cheap red T38 and the saber with a 850 nm I/R pil might be a better option, go on ludicrous lumins web site and ask Andy his opinion , that is where I purchase my sabre and T38 , cheers

ShootingEgg
I use a wicked lights 3-1 on my digex and find it's great, has the red 850 940 combo. Has a better flood and more scale on the dim than the supplied ir.
