A day on the grouse.

Recommended Posts

What is a gun looking to pay roughly for a days grouse shooting?

Let's say walked up as this will be cheaper than driven grouse so should hopefully lower the cost slightly

No hospitality or fancy afters?

A small bag sub 20 birds perhaps

North west area

This isnt a add wanting grouse shooting just to get a general idea if it's obtainable to the working man.

Cheers

I paid £1,600 in 2018 for a 75 brace October driven day in the Yorkshire Dales. Bucket list 50th.

Jealous!

For my 70th. I bought 7 friends a 140 driven pheasant day. Some of them were kind enough to reciprocate!

It was a good day; a smidgen under the bag, but (and not that it should matter) 5 1/2 brace and 3 snipe to my gun and a R&L on the last of 5 drives.

In a season when lots of moors cancelled due to the lack of Grouse. Initially cancelled, but re-appraised as they found they had more that expected.

Excellent stuff! I love driven grouse (who wouldn’t?) but I bet it’s nearly 30 years since I did any.
