rayo Posted August 2, 2023 Report Share Posted August 2, 2023 (edited) While looking to buy a spinner target for use with a rimfire I thought nearly £40 I thought mmmm so I may buy a second hand arc welder there's a few for sale on market place for £25 pounds and steel is quite cheap at the scrap yard and I'll always have a welder if ever I need one I've never welded before so it could turn out good or bad.. Watch this space 😅 Hello, Lidl had some stick welders for sale with warranty but depends what amps you think suitable , mine goes to 160 amp but for making metal targets 80 to 100 amps should suffice, basic stick welding ? get some scrap metal and lots of practice, use a good welding helmet and gloves even a leather apron, size of rods ? , Go slightly higher amp until you can get a decent weld bead at recommended amps Edited August 2, 2023 by oldypigeonpopper Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
