yickdaz
At the moment there's certain areas and fields that the birds only start going on after 2pm turn up at 1 pm and you hardly see a bird come 2pm you see more and more flighting same case yesterday set up at 3pm shot till 5.30pm and ended up with 60 stark contrast to winter when it's all over by 3pm if your lucky enough to shoot any that time of year
JDog
Observation is the key. Others may have packed up and left before the birds came.
Fellside
Similar in my area. Flight line strongly established by mid afternoon. Hectic couple of hours, hot barrels at times, then a few pre-rousting birds. Final whistle at about 7ish. Not complaining - usually about 3 or 4 hours of nice shooting.
