Westward
I'm going to fit new TRVs and Lockshields to 5 radiators. It's a basic 15mm system that was installed long before our time so consequently I don't know direction of flow etc, so the question is: Does it matter which end the TRV is fitted? discobob
You can get TRV's that the flow doesn't matter - if you really need to know - turn on your heating and see which end gets hot first...
Shambam1962
Easy way to identify the flow, is switch the heating on and the hottest pipe going into the radiator is the flow and place a piece of tape on the valve to identify. You May have to do it a few times on the other radiators but it works, or have the wife to help with the other radiators to identify. Blackpowder
As others have said. Remember to fill antifreeze and inhibitor when you are finished. Blackpowder
