Zetter Posted October 18, 2023 Report Share Posted October 18, 2023 (edited) With regret as it not economical for me to fix it how I would like is my ultra XS with grade 3 wood. Everything works as it should and the stock is free from dink and splits. However the other week the top choke let go and bulged the top barrel 3" total back from the muzzle with the choke last seen heading out over Risley. So the only option is to either cut it down to about 27" and have it as cylinder cylinder or cut it down and get it teuged for chokes. Economically this isnt worth me doing much as I love the gun. However the wood and fore end would fit a browning 525 or equivelent and is a cracking bit of timber in very good condition having been profesionally refinished last year so I am putting it up for sale as either the full gun minus the barrels (SGC required can RFD if needed) or alternatively I can sell the wood if someone wants it and then scrap the barrels and action. Length of pull is 15" with a kickease pad on the back. £500 either way for the full wood or the whole gun. I did think about cutting it down and teuge it it Scully but cost wise I would be better off buying a mint XS really or something else as it would set me back nearly a grand to get it done and I would end up with a barrel length I dont want.
