_Spud_
Hey all, I have applied for my shotgun licence, and to my surprise 5 days after sending the form in the FEO want to come around to speak to me. Does anyone know of any reasons why I could not install my safe under the stairs, in my house I don’t have much space and under the stairs would be a perfect location. The FEO has not seen it yet I am just hoping locating it under the stairs is acceptable Thanks all Adam.

_Spud_
If its in a cupboard under there and its onto a brick wall it should be fine Yes m8 it’s in a cupboard and bolted to an external wall, I have also mounted it to the concrete floor, no way on earth the thing will move. I am glad it’s ok, I was a bit concerned I would have to move it. Thanks.
sheene7
Have exactly the same set up as you, not had a problem with the FEO
LEFTY478
I have a cabinet in a half-cubboard under the stairs. Mine lays on its back and is bolted to the concrete floor. It's very secure and the FEO was more than happy, as it's out of sight and in a small space that makes it very hard to attack - not much room to get any leverage with a jemmy etc.

mr lee
Mine is on an internal brick wall in a cupboard under the stairs and it passed. I even asked if he wanted me to put a lock on the cupboard but he said NOT to as it makes any would be burglars more determined to break in and see what your hiding. _Spud_
The FEO has come and inspected the safe and he is completely satisfied with the location and he said a lot of people store them under the stairs, he thinks my licence should arrive in the next 10 days. I cant wait as I have purchased a left handed lanber deluxe and it’s waiting for me at the shop.
Lancs Lad
I was going to put mine under the stairs. But that would have meant that I would need to find a new place to store my inflated pvc rubber suited gimp............... You should have no probs with under the stairs on the solid wall.
