For sale 

Lee Enfield SMLE 1917 dated 

Converted to .22lr as a training rifle between the two wars. 
 

Leather sling

 

Immaculate Conditon for a 106 year old rifle. 
 

Fitted with an ATI no drill and tap mount from the states along with a Weaver x4 period scope also imported from the states. 
 

Shoots round on top of round at 50m with SK match ammo. 
 

Highly sort after and not common to find.

I don't really get sentimental over guns , but I think I'd be keeping that little cracker .

It's one of those guns that the next lucky owner will cherish.

Out of interest how does the magazine look?

It is basically the metal magazine with the internals taken out for the empty brass to drop into. It’s worth the wait😉 it’s a reluctant sale.

Yes it single feed. 
they did at the time make a wind up mechanism to fit into the shell but they proved to be useless and are very very very rare to find. The one I did see go in auction for was worth more than the rifle itself!
