enfieldspares
I have done it BOTH ways but this was back in 2004. I did it via Holland and Holland as, at that time, they had a shop on Avenue Victor Hugo in Paris. I took the guns to Northwood Shooting Ground and three days later they were in Paris. A 12 bore shotgun and a .22 BSA Martini. The BSA I collected the week after and took to my apartment in the 17th as at that time single shot .22 Rimfire rifles were unlicensed in France. Then in 2004 they both came back to the UK via Holland and Holland. Cost was £100 all in and paid only the once. Holland's now no longer AFAIK have a presence in France but...now thety are owned by Beretta things may have changed? So worth a call? Nowadays I'd suggest also a call to Holt's and see what they say.
vmaxphil
Johnny Carter from tgs outdoors did a YouTube video about sending to the USA and spoke to someone who exports around the world quite reasonably might be worth a look 👍
