20 Bore Which Non Toxic Cartridges

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Just wondered if any of you used Non-Toxic's for a 20 Bore.

I have always used Tungsten-Matrix in both my 12 and 20 but do find the price of them a little steep these days, especially when I am on shoots when you may get a mixture of Game, Duck and Pigeon over your head.

£2+ for a couple of shots at pigeons seems a bit of a waste really and you never get time to swap cartridges.

Oh and I have 3" Chambers if that makes any difference.

Cheers

Hewey.

You can obtain a High velocity magnum steel cartridge in 20 bore- Its a 28 gram load by Lylavale, About 6 quid a box. Other option is to to buy Bismuth in 12 and 20g. Costs still high though- about 20 quid for 25

Hi SL,

Yes I have actually bought a box of Eley Bismouth 4's as I'm out this weekend and running out of the Tungsten.

Think they were about £16 for 25 so not quite as bad as Tungsten and will see how I find those.

Just thought I'd ask to see peoples views.

Cheers

Wayne
