Browning Auto 5

Sorry All, its me again!

New to this site. Is anybody breaking down an old Auto 5? The firing pin has broken on one of mine, can't find one anywhere.

The US stopped exporting gun parts way back in 2011.

I have tried Gunstar, Gun Trader, Gunsmiths and dealers - even tried an engineering firm, they will make me one but it would set me back about £400!!

Any help/advice or info much appreciated.

Cheers all

Nick

There's a dealer in the North Yorkshire area, who specialises in buying and selling Auto 5's , and I'm sure he'll have some spare parts, I'll try to find his contact details, and get back to you.

Why not ask you local gunsmith to make or adapt one for you....

The cost would outweigh the value of the gun but thanks for the suggestion.

Several on ebay USA?

Browning Auto Five/ A5 shotgun, FIRING PIN- 12/ 12 Ga Mag. new, part# 1165, b14 | eBay

For example. Wouldn't hurt to contact a few and ask them if they'll ship it to the UK and what the cost is? Even if it costs you $100 USD all in, still cheaper than your current options.

Hi there,

Yep, tried that, but the US stopped exporting gun parts to the UK in 2011, including to gunsmiths and gun dealers!
