Cranfield
Has anyone got Sky Stream ? We have a Community aerial/dish system and this Winter there have been a lot of problems due to wind and weather, plus sloppy Provider. All my TV comes Via Sky Q . I have a Smart TV, but never connected it to wifi, I also have av 75mbs speed. It would be nice to become independent of the current system, but I am concerned about quality and the seamless transfer over of my existing Sky package. Before I contact Sky, it would be nice to get some feedback from any members who have had this experience.
TIGHTCHOKE
I presume you pay towards the existing poor set up. Perhaps a moan and threaten to stop your payment may get it improved.
discobob
Just one thing to flag up - Sky Stream relies on the underlying services for stuff to watch - iPlayer and ITV X - when they are not available (be it service or the program) whereas with Q/Plus - when recorded you keep the programs on the local hard disk. I have a mate who has it and he has been caught out by this
Cranfield
I have tried that, but delayed repairs and frequent loss of signal, are causing me to look for alternatives. I don't get the impression things will improve.
