Wymondley
Definitely a Cat skull. Here's one between a Badger and a Fox. Edited February 21 by Wymondley
39TDS
Thought it was, thanks all. I have a smallholding of about 16 acres with 7.5 acres of apples. I found this one while pruning today. The strange thing is it's the second dead cat on my place in about 6 months. Nothing to do with me and nor can I think of any reason for it other than there is a disproportionate number of cats about the place and they are dying of old age. Not even particularly close to many houses and miles from the nearest village. Are cats susceptible to rabbit hemorrhaging disease? I do have that among the rabbit population and the cats are definitely hunting them. May be that is what killed them if they are vulnerable to it. Odd anyway. Wymondley
Many rural cats lead a semi feral existence, when they get to the end of their lives they'll seek out somewhere quiet to die, that's not always the home (or homes) they're being fed at. Edited to add, Cats can cover quite a distance when hunting. Edited February 21 by Wymondley
