Roe Buck

Recommended Posts

We where sitting this morning enjoying our breaky when the phone goes are you in dad open the garage doors , A gamekeeper my son gets a lot of game off had given him a Roe Buck shot at last light  , last night and in the chiller field gutted  till my son picked him up   . We got him hung up in the garage got the drip tray under him and set to in 20 minutes later all jointed up to be washed and packed ready for the freezer . But my son wastes nought legs given to the lurchers same with the head antlers removed for my daughters dog head frozen to be split and half each to my lurchers , He even had the tripe in a bag to be washed and fed green to his dogs . But although it was a nice big buck it was bad with ticks after we finished gloves in the bin, clothes in the wash and a long hot shower but you still imagine you feel the ticks crawling over you all night LOL

A nice surplus to be gifted.

Sounds like a job well done and venison all round. 👍

Yes the son saw a post on Facebook offering game and went for it and has been getting stuff off him ever since . Only thing we tried that was no use was breasted geese we put the rest  into the ferrets but they weren't keen on them
