malkiserow
What a fantastic place... China never fails to seduce me apart from one thing ....... shooting. I discovered why I could not find any shooting over there .... gun ownership of any sort is illegal. Being caught with an air-rifle is pretty serious and may mean a couple of weeks in the slammer plus a hefty fine. on the plus side.... people, countryside and food fantastic.... photos and write up to come shortly if anyone is interested MS
Blackbart
DO THEY HAVE ENGLISH TAKEAWAYS?
starlight32
Whats the birds like over there? Are they up for it? I been chatting up the girl in the local takeaway- promised her anything off the starters menu for a night out. I reckon they must have a higher standard of living than I thought over there. Mungler
Did you find that the bookies and casinos were all full of English people?

Dr W
I spent a month there in Nov 05 and it was brilliant, never been somewhere with such a culture shock, would highly recommend it to anyone, Great wall, Giant Pandas, Terracotta warrriors, great food, friendly people (if not a little odd), awesome We went with a company called Intrepid so you're in a group of 12 with a chinese guide used mostly public transport, overnight sleeper cars, had a fantastic group and throughly enjoyed it. Only reason for going in a group is that hardly anyone speaks english so having a local with you all the time to answer questions meant we learnt loads. I'm looking forward to seeing your pics and write up, be interested to see where abouts you went.
