Many thanks Alex Cracking gun as I used to have one in 20g - although the chokes needing opening up - 3/4 will test your skills to the full. Mungler
I bought one off Gibby last year. Top gun, shrewd buy, built like grandpa's tool shed.
NorfolkBoy
I've just taken delivery of a 686 Gold EL game gun in 20 bore - can't wait to shoot it. If its like my old 687 sporter you can look forward to years and years of boringly reliable service from it. Assuming its fixed choke you might, as DED suggests you might want to open up the top barrel to 1/2 choke.

Many thanks Alex 3/4 Should be fine for game as a second barrel shot but might be a bit tight for some clay targets i would leave them well alone if your using it for game shooting Are you buying it new? Ferretboy111
Cheers for comments, he said it was a decent, standard Beretta. It will be for game, and general vermin shooting. I very rarely do clays as i dont enjoy it very much. Its 3 years old, and has been shot on about 10 outings or so. I shot it at the local clay shoot at john bidwells, on the high tower and hit every single clay. Tried with my old lanber, missed every single one. Must fit me better, but i shall be getting it fitted regardless anyway. Alex
Ferretboy111
Well ive got her home, a pure dream. Immaculate. My younger brother (11) was also spoilt this weekend with a Miroku o/u 20b- £750, cant believe how spoilt he is, ah well atleast he will be able to hopefully hit things and kill them with it now, unlike his .410 where accuracy is everything. He is looking forward to being a gun on my shoot on beaters day. Alex

Don I would leave the chokes exactly as they are, initially when i got my first 12b choked at 1/2 and full i thought i would have to get them opened up, im glad i didnt now, they are perfect as they are!
